A. French Textile School order book, 1926-1939.

This collection consists of one order book containing pencilled notes made by Virginia Peed during her employment in Textile Engineering. The book records items received from textile mills and other Georgia companies as well as petty cash fees incurred by the students. It also contains various loose cards and notes, some of which have been moved to a separate folder.

The School of Textile Engineering, which was originally housed in the A. French Textile Building (named in honor of its chief donor Aaron French), opened its doors for instruction in February 1899.
